Resolution

salam and good day!

Remember I wrote a review on The Club before? It got more than 2k visits since it happenned. Alhamdulillah, due to the pressure given, the party involved agreed to give a formal apology letter and refund (30% from amount paid) as requested by my family. So as agreed, I took down the post.

I would like to thank all my family and friends, and friends of the family for giving their support, especially my sister's blogger friends that acted until they had to shut down their facebook page. I don't condone spamming their page though, because that is their way of finding clients.

When this thing blown up, a lot of the party's previous clients (victims) came forward and shared their stories with me. I do hope all of you receive the same good outcome as we did.

We are not some bloodsuckers that want to hunt down those who did us wrong for revenge. I just don't like people taking advantage of other people and get away with it. We (my family and I) hope that the person involved will not do the same mistake to others after this.

Until next time...

Terms and Conditions:

1. Cleanliness of the house must be kept as the day you arrive, throughout your stay and before checkout. Failure to do so, an extra £15 will be charged.

2. The toilets here don't have drain, unlike in Malaysia. Logical people would know to keep the floors dry at ALL TIMES.

3. No cooking is permitted on the premises except for toasting bread or water heating. You can use the oven to heat up food, just be sure to keep it clean. This is due to bad experiences from previous people.

4. Keep your voices down when it's 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. This may seem like a silly term, but some people can't think that at 2-6 am, people are still sleeping. Jet-lag is no excuse for bumping around the house making all sorts of noises.

5. Our purpose is to help Malaysians that want a proper and affordable stay in London. However, if this is being taken for granted, we will not accommodate anymore.

Only those who agree to these terms can make the booking.

Tinseltown Review

Salam and good day!

I found out about this place from a friend of my bestie when she posted a picture of her eating here. The food seemed interesting enough, so we decided to give it a try.

It's located at Westbourne Grove, near Bayswater station. The place serves full halal menu, and it is clearly stated on their entrance.

I read the reviews online of this place beforehand and most of them talked about the bad service of this place. But we went to try and check it out for ourselves.

When we arrived, a staff greeted us and showed us to our seat. The menu choices are excellent. There are many choices of burgers and grills. This place specialty is their burgers and shakes.

I ordered the chocolate brownie shake (right) and my bestie ordered the ferero roche (left) shake.

They don't look much different though. huhu...I loved mine. It kind of taste like oreo shake, but you can taste the brownie chunks. The ferero shake you can really taste it in the shake. But it'll feel a bit filling because of the taste.

This is called Texas Buffalo wings. I've been wanting to try one of these for a long time. Finally I found a joint that sells them and halal.

We also ordered the grill platter that consists of 3 lamb chops, one cajun chicken, two steaks and a sausage. The meal includes two sides that you can choose and a dip. We choose chips and mash potato with peri-peri dip. The dip was excellent.

Overall, the food is actually great with affordable prices. The setting of the place is cozy too.

However, my bestie told me when she went to pay, she chatted up with the staff a bit and was totally ignored. Rude much!?

When we were about to exit the store, there were a group of people entered and we overheard them saying to the staff that they were waiting for their seat at the door and no one came. The staff replied rudely for them to go back to the door. I mean..whaat??!! Why can't they just give them a seat and apologize for making them wait. It's not like it was a full house inside the store.

So my recommendation would be, if you really have a hankering for the food and can tolerate rudeness, then go ahead. Not going to be a 2nd visit from us anytime soon for sure!

Until next time.

NYE 2014...2015

Salam and good day!

I've been postponing this entry due to many unfortunate events that occurred in my country. Same as last year, my bestie and I went to the NYE celebration in London which is one of the biggest and most fascinating fireworks display in the world.

This year however, for the first time, the Mayor of London issued tickets for the fireworks viewing areas that costs £10 each. I bought the tickets since October last year.

Because we came late last year around 9pm and we had to walked so far away and there were already many people there, we decided to come earlier this year. So we went out around 4pm (after Maghrib prayer). My bestie also want to meet her cousin that happen to be in London with her family too before we went to see the fireworks.

After meeting my bestie's cousin and had a light dinner together, we took the tube to Charing Cross. At first, we went there so that I can perform my Isya prayer. Little that we know, the entrance for N1 area (our viewing area) is located there, just opposite of Malaysia Tourism office.

We arrived around 7pm and the queue was already this long!!

The wait wasn't that long though. It just moved slowly due to some boggarts that're cutting lines in front.

There were another security check at the gate (this time they really check your tickets, bags and body check-we were lucky we had female guards). The good thing was, they asked the ladies to go first. So we entered quite fast because we didn't have to wait very long.

We walked a little bit and chose a place near the exit. It was a nice view too.

The wait was the worst part. Because you can't really sit nor stand for 5 whole hours!!! Especially in the cold.

Brrrrrr,,,,

But the wait is sure is worthwhile. The countdown...

And BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

Such an amazing experience.

This might be the second last time for us to come here. Maybe we'll just go one final time before we go back to Malaysia for good.

The finale...

After the fireworks, we didn't stay for the AULD LANG SYNE song like last year to avoid the large crowd. We had to walk until Victoria Station to catch a tube. All transport is free from 11:59pm until 4:30am.

Along the way, there was a road block to avoid congestion inside the tube station.

Thankfully, the public transport here is one of the best that I've seen despite what Malaysian minister said that London needs to learn from Malaysia (erk!). We didn't need to wait long at all to get on the tube and the bus. We arrived home just before 2am.

Until next time...

I Finally See Some Snow!!

Salam and good day!

This actually occurred a while back, but I only recently got my internet connection. My bestie and I went to Leeds after Boxing day (a frenzy shopping day after Christmas). She wanted to buy some Tefal for her family before she went back for her brother's wedding.

We drove there on the count of we might be buying some heavy loads. So we rented a car (about £55)...I know...it's expensive, but that's the only one available and still cheap during the holidays.

On our way, we passed through the midlands, which consists of multiple counties such as Sheffield, Coventry etc etc...and...

There were snow!!! We got so excited because we never actually seen any since we've been here. How sad is that? =(

All the way to Leeds, there were snow all over, white blankets everywhere. Even on the roads. Thankfully it wasn't so slippery to drive on.

On our way back, we stopped at a service area (like a R&R in Malaysia). The snow was so thick!

Alhamdulillah, finally I got to see one of the miracles of Allah.

I really do hope whilst I'm here, I get a chance to see the white flakes come down from heaven. This is all the action that we got in London. heh~~

Ok Lor~~~

Until next time...
